Concrete Cube Testing
Here at Forth Valley Concrete, we take pride in only supplying high-quality concrete made from the very best raw materials. However, you don’t just have to take our word for it; we also provide concrete cube testing services to guarantee all of our concrete mixes meet the highest industry standards.
Concrete cube testing is a form of quality control and is used to determine the compressive strength of a batch of concrete. This ensures that the mix meets design requirements and can safely support the intended amount of weight.

So how does cube testing for concrete work?
A sample of the freshly mixed concrete will be poured into a cube-shaped mould. True to its name, this forms a concrete cube which will be left to set before being tested twice – typically at the 7-day and 28-day mark in the curing process.
Using a compression testing machine, the strength of the concrete will be assessed by gradually applying more force and measuring the point at which the cube breaks; this demonstrates the maximum load that the concrete mix can handle.
Whatever the nature of your project, we can provide the right strength concrete for your needs, whether that’s a standard batch for some home DIY or a more specialised, high-strength mix for a large commercial endeavour.
With same and next-day delivery across Glasgow, Perth, Stirling and the wider region, you’ll never be left waiting around for the concrete that you need.
